Prospanica Philadelphia and the HBAPA (Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania)

presented their first summer social mixer!

Philadelphia--June 27, 2018--A powerhouse of Latin American professionals including the SILAMP (Society of Ibero Latin American Medical Professionals), Prospanica Philadelphia and the HBAPA (Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania) joined forces for an evening under the stars on the rooftop of The Collins on Wednesday June 27th. These professional organizations’ missions are to create pipelines that will support careers in the medical, business, and legal fields by mentoring and providing scholarships to students of Latin American descent. They participate in philanthropic work within the Hispanic community in Philadelphia and abroad as well.

The evening stars were not just illuminating the Philadelphia skyline, they were also shining brightly on current topics such as immigration and the current need for Latin American doctors, lawyers as well as MBA movers and shakers to get involved. “The future of our nation depends on us to help our community and Latin American high school, college and graduate students who aspire to become doctors, lawyers and business executives,” says Natalia Ortiz, MD FAPA, FAPM, Chief of Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry, Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry Temple School of Medicine, and President of SILAMP.

“Prospanica’s mission is to empower our members to achieve their full education, economic and social potential. This event brought together ambitious, successful Latinos across industries who are committed now more than ever to help others in our community succeed. It was a pleasure to join forces with HBA PA and SILAMP Presidents for this event to connect our networks and work together to support each organization’s efforts to build a strong pipeline of future Latino leaders.” notes Natily Santos, MBA, Regional Sourcing Director, Aramark, President Prospanica Philadelphia.

All three organizations are committed to working together to make a sizable impact on future economic development, advancement in education and career growth in our growing Latin American community. “The Hispanic Bar Association looks forward to collaborating with Prospanica and SILAMP to find ways in which we can harness our collective power,” adds Jacqueline C. Romero, President HBAPA.

The event was sponsored by SILAMP, Prospanica Philadelphia, and the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania. To make a difference in your community, please take a moment to learn how you can get involved today by visiting the organizations online.
